Who pays for IPS?

With IPS, the pathways to employment or training and treatment go hand in hand. However, the financing follows a number of routes. Care services cannot finance reintegration services and the social sector cannot pay for care. For this reason, the partners involved in IPS (mental health agencies, health insurers, the UWV and councils) have to work together.

Effects on income

Earning money through employment can have an effect on income and tax allowances. IPS provides support in administrative matters concerning income and benefits as a standard part of the programme.

Rules and regulations

If someone with a serious mental illness wants to work, and IPS would be a good support in this, then various rules and regulations may be applicable in order to organise an IPS programme.
